First post

Well I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and start a blog!  I've been reading tons of other blogs for awhile now and have always played around with the idea of starting one for myself, so with the encouragement from a new found blog friend, I decided to give a go.  To record moments within our life and have something for our baby boy to read when he gets big someday an a way for me to remember things that I otherwise might forget!

Anyway, I'm Kristin...I'm married to Matt and we're expecting our first child, Landry in May!  Just a few more months to go.  Matt and I got married last May.  It was everything I ever pictured our wedding to be and more.  Just the way we wanted it, the gospel to be preached and all of our closest family and friends in attendence.

We spent a week in San Diego, CA. for our honeymoon.  Neither of us had ever been out west and it just so happened that our favorite baseball team (Chicago Cubs) was playing a series againist the Padres at the end of the week, it was perfect.  We enjoyed some different restaraunts, the San Diego Zoo, an unexpected trip to the ER, a HORRIBLE drive up Highway 1 to Los Angeles and swimming in the ocean for the first time.  Speaking of the ocean, it was nothing like I expected.  In fact, I think it was pretty nasty.  Matt and I spent only a few hours there and decided to return to the pool at our hotel to swim instead, the pool was MUCH cleaner.  Being from Oklahoma, I'm used to lakes, which are dirty but still there was just something about the Pacific Ocean.  I'm glad we got to experience it though.  I'm sure it'll be a long time before we ever make it out west or east for that matter again.

Matt and I found out in September that we were expecting!  It was a bit of a surprise but we were definitely excited to start another new journey on top of being newly married.

Landry Allen is due May 13, 2010.  This is my 9.5 week ultrasound photo.  So he is much bigger now.  Kicking ALL the time and getting bigger by the day. I'm finally starting to really show and I'm loving the new belly.  I always thought it was odd how pregnant women would just sit around and rub their stomachs but I catch myself doing it all the time now.  It's just an amazing feeling being pregnant.  I'm so blessed that I haven't had any complications or problems so far.  Matt and I pray everyday that things stay this way.

Anyway, it's getting late and this soon-to-be momma is getting tired.  Thanks for taking the time to read this and sharing in a part of our life.  I look forward to meeting new blog friends and getting advice on mommyhood!  Until next time....
